Specialist property adviser Christie & Co is pleased to announce the appointment of Amparo Gómez-Angulo, as a new Consultant in its Barcelona Office. Amparo will be in charge of the provision and development of Christie & Co Consultancy Services in Spain and Portugal. She will be reporting to Inmaculada Ranera, Managing Director for Spain and Portugal at Christie & Co.
Before joining Christie + Co, Amparo gained industry experience while working for the JLL's Hotels & Hospitality team in Madrid, where she participated in numerous consulting projects in Spain and Portugal, including assessments, feasibility studies, operator searches and asset transactions. She then joined THR Innovative Tourism Advisors in Barcelona as a Consultant, where she held many international projects, primarily focused on strategic plans, viability analysis and master plans for the development of hotels and resorts.
Inmaculada Ranera comments: "The hotel market is undergoing an undeniable revival every day, so Spain and Portugal remain very attractive for international investors, as has been the case for the last two years. However, now we also notice how the investors’ national market has been reactivated. In addition, funding has become available, which eases the operators growth. At Christie & Co we are delighted with the appointment of a professional like Amparo, whose training and experience will contribute, without any doubt, to improving our consulting services, which have been particularly active for the past months regarding debt portfolio and hotel assets analysis, as well as involving market research”.
Commenting on her recruitment, Amparo says: "I am very excited and motivated with the challenge of joining a company like Christie & Co. The current market upturn raises opportunities and we need to make the most of them. I am eager to start promoting consulting services in Spain and to be able to participate in pan-European projects together with other regional offices. Their support and expertise will give me a more global view of the company which I hope to be able to apply successfully in the domestic market. Furthermore, it is such an honour to be part of the company growth plans, which is making use of new people who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to the business".
