Christie & Co expands his team in Spain with Nicolas Cousin as Head of Consultancy

International hotel property adviser Christie & Co is pleased to announce the expansion of its team with the incorporation of Nicolas Cousin as Head of the Consultancy for Spain and Portugal.

Located in the Madrid office, Nicolas leads Christie & Co Hotel Consulting department, which is very active at the moment, carrying out numerous projects for investors and operators both national and international, in urban and holiday destinations, in Spain and Portugal. Nicolas will lead Christie & Co's Consulting team in Spain, which offers a wide range of services, ranging from Market and Feasibility Studies, Commercial Due Diligence, Expert Witnesses, Dispute Resolution Advice, Hotel Asset Valuations, to Price Advice, Rent Reviews or Performance Monitoring for hotel asset owners.
 
Graduated in Hotel Business Administration from the University of Montpellier (France) and holder of an MBA in International Hospitality Management from Cornell-ESSEC, Nicolas has developed his entire professional career in the hospitality and leisure sectors.
Nicolas began his professional career in the hotel sector as deputy director of a hotel of the Kyriad chain in France, then served as manager of the Tourism and Leisure division of the consultancy agency Minsait (formerly Indra Business Consulting) where, for almost 10 years, he led more than 50 consultancy projects (due dilligence, asset portfolio analysis, feasibility studies, tourism development strategy) for customers around the world.

After his period at Minsait, Nicolas joined Hotelbeds, in Palma de Mallorca, as Head of Sales Transformation & Integration, participating in the transformation of sales teams and the integration of commercial teams resulting from the merger between Hotelbeds, Tourico and GTA.

Prior to joining Christie & Co, Nicolas held the position of Head of Strategy, Business Planning and Operations for the Spanish subsidiary of the Intu Group, owner and operator of shopping centers, where he was able to accompany the transformation of the 3 Spanish assets into resorts and also led the strategic and investment plan of the only indoor ski slope in Spain (Madrid SnowZone).

This incorporation, the process of which was carried out by human resources consultancy Michael Page, represents a new push for a consulting department that consolidates as one of the best professional teams in the sector, whose deep market knowledge is recognized as fundamental in the decision-making of its clients.
